This Winchester manufactured second variation receiver with three pin mounting holes in the lower tang and the word "Winchester" on the belly is for the model 37 single barrel shotgun in 16 gauge and is in very good condition retaining most of its thinning original blue finish with some areas exhibiting a grayish brown patina with specks of older rust. This is the only part on the model 37 shotgun that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.
